Jim Warner brings a diverse and deep set of experiences as a leader in the media business to his work advising companies in digital marketing and media. Through his thirty-year career, he has led a digital agency, broadcast television network, magazine publisher, TV distribution business and managed sales, marketing, business development, research, international and strategy teams.

Warner built and led Avenue A’s organization in New York from 2000-2008, where he advised corporate clients such as Capital One, Verizon and Starwood Hotels on digital strategy, marketing and media. The agency was a pioneer in digital marketing and was named Digital Agency of the Year by AdWeek. He also served in a senior role at aQuantive, parent company to Avenue A, from its inception through its sale to Microsoft in 2007.

Before joining Avenue A, Warner held leadership positions at Primedia and CBS. He was President of Primedia’s magazine group with responsibility for over 200 consumer, special interest and trade magazines, trade shows and digital businesses. At CBS, he was President of the CBS Television Network, overseeing network sales, affiliate relations, marketing, research and new media. Before leading the television network, he ran CBS Enterprises, a worldwide content syndication and licensing business. Warner started his career at HBO, where he acquired, financed and sold feature films and original programming and developed pay television businesses in international markets.

Warner received a BA with honors from Yale College and an MBA from the Harvard Business School. He is a Trustee of Big Brothers and Big Sisters of New York City and lives in Westchester County, New York with his wife Priscilla, an author, and their two sons.
